Crime Drama Factfile

There are a numerous about of properties that are easily identifiable in a crime drama. For example, in most tv dramas, including crime, you will see a main story line with several smaller ones along side it. In a crime drama, you may have a big murder as the main story then several smaller stories, such as arrests.

Crime dramas also focus on the criminal justice system, lawyers versus courts, social workers versus the police and victims versus the public

stereotypical characters
- police men and women, male more dominant
- victims are most often older
- characters are easily identifiable
